Since inception, achievements of the UK branch included the following:

• The provision of computers for the school.
  
  
• The provision of science text books for the school
  
  
• The contribution of funds towards the school's preparation / hosting of the 1999 AIONIAN games.
  
  
• The provision of T-shirts for the school's sports representatives at the 1999 Aionian games
  
  
• Linking up the school educationally with Walton High school, Stafford in order to improve the quality of life and to exchange ideas among the students of the two schools by way of Pen friendship.
  
  
• In 2001, the association applied successfully to the United Nations Women's Guild of Vienna for a charity donation. 75,000 Austrian Schillings, equivalence of N525,000 Naira was donated to our school. The funds were used to dig up a bore hole and erect water tanks, providing drinking water for the students.
  
  
• In 2003, the association made financial contribution towards construction of the school hall.
  
  
• It began annual sponsorship of award, to students, teaching and non-teaching staff for academic excellence and outstanding achievements in 2004.
  
  
• Refurbishment of the whole block of the School library and furnishing of the 'Reading and Counselling' room in the library building in 2005.
  
  
• Re-designed the web site to bring all IGS Old Students Association under one internet umbrella, with enhanced capabilities in 2005.
  
  
• Donation of five sets of personal computers and monitors to our Alma mater in April 2006. The branch obtained the computers as charity donation from the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna International Centre, Austria.
